New Materials to be Placed on Reserve:
Submit your new list(s) use reserve request form: http://forms.aucegypt.edu/lib/coursereserve/resrform_2.htm as soon as possible to ensure that the material is ready by the time your students need it. Please read the following notes in order to facilitate the processing of your materials.
General Notes:
Please specify the loan period for each item. As the “2 Hour Reserve Items” are not allowed out of the Library, this can create a problem when students wish to photocopy them. This category should be used only for those materials that require the security of library-use-only.
Whenever possible, please quote the call number of the items that are in the Library.
Please be aware of the International Copyright Law and the need to obtain the copyright holder’s permission when required. Examples of forms to request copyright permission are available at the Access Services Office on the First Floor. For more information on Copyright Law and the Library see: http://library.aucegypt.edu/dept/circulation/copyright.htm
Due to the large number of materials that are placed on Reserve each semester, please select only those items that the students will require for their coursework.
Lists are processed according to the order in which they are received. However, the processing time can be reduced if the items are collected in advance. You may want to consider assigning this task to an assistant. It usually requires up to five working days to process items that are available in the Library and to place them on Reserve. Please be aware that additional time will be needed to process items that are currently charged out or have been recently purchased.
In order to keep you apprised of the status of your reserve requests, you will receive periodic reports on the progress of your list(s).
For further information please refer to the Reserve guidelines at: http://library.aucegypt.edu/dept/circulation/faculty.htm
