Collections and Resources

The Rare Books and Special Collections Library’s collections and resources encompass a wide range of materials. The library’s core holdings are Rare Books and Special Book Collections acquired from donors or assembled to reflect certain topics. Archives and Manuscripts Collections document Egyptian history, culture, and society, as do our extensive Photography Collections and Oral History Interviews. The library also contains contemporary books and Periodicals and Article Offprints on Egyptology, Islamic Art and Architecture, and related topics. Theses on Islamic Art and Architecture and Maps represent other valuable resource for researchers.
