Library Access During Summer 2026 (May 24 – September 1)
The Library Building will be closed during the summer months, except P015 and P016. Book and laptop borrowing continues during this period. Consult our detailed guide here and plan your visit accordingly.
New Library System
AUC Libraries is using WorldShare Management Services (WMS) as its new library system, as of January 14, 2026. Enjoy a familiar interface, enhanced search, and improved access to our collections. To get started, watch our short tutorials on basic searching and managing your user profile, and share feedback at [email protected].
Article/Chapter Delivery Service Enhancement
The AUC Libraries Article/Chapter Delivery service will upgrade to a new platform on July 1, 2026. Service will continue uninterrupted during the migration. Users are advised to review and save any information from their ILLiad account before July 1, 2026, as historical request information may no longer be available after the transition.

Revamped Library Spaces
The Library Plaza and the Serenity Room on the garden level will be renovated this summer. These spaces will be remodeled to create welcoming and engaging study spaces for all users. The project will also include a new hub featuring accessible technology.
Databases and Subject Guides
Group Study Rooms
AUC students, faculty, and staff may reserve the group study rooms at the Main Library.
Rare Books and Special Collections Library (RBSCL)
AUC’s Rare Books and Special Collections Library promotes learning and research about the history, society, and arts of Egypt and the Middle East through collections of primary-source documentation and other scholarly resources.
