The AUC Libraries’ administration is overseen by the Dean of Libraries and Learning Technologies (LLT)  and is executed by her office management and administrative staff members.

The library Automated Systems department plays an important role in developing the library's digital infrastructure to improve access to our collections. It explores new and impactful educational technologies that increase user engagement and enhance students' lifelong learning. Additionally, it is responsible for maintaining all library technology applications and services, ensuring they operate efficiently and are available 24/7.

The cataloging department organizes the knowledge contained in the resources, both print and online, collected by the library so that it is easily accessible to the users looking for this information and presents this via the online catalog.

The collections department's role is to ensure that current and future faculty and students have access to the scholarly content required to successfully complete their learning, teaching and research. Collections consist of cataloging and resource acquisition, and management.

The Digitization Center creates digital images of unique, valuable, or compelling primary resources for the purpose of preservation, access, and publication.  While we focus on Rare Books Special Collections Library collections, we have collaborated with a variety of partners on the AUC campus and beyond. The content we create is used in research, teaching and learning.

The resource acquisitions and management department places orders and processes payment for all print and electronic resources, including monographs, audio-visual materials, maps, periodicals and databases. This unit also manages the processing of donations and the bindery process.

The Center of Excellence for the Middle East and Arab Cultures (CEMEAC) at AUC Libraries creates access to a unique set of resources and highly skilled expert guidance for research in all areas of Middle Eastern Studies, to the members of AUC, and to researchers worldwide.

In addition to collecting physical and electronic resources, the center promotes access to--and creative engagement with--the library’s rich holdings.
