Library Services

AUC Library is open for members of AUC community. Plaza and Ground levels are open 24/7.

NOTE: Group study rooms are bookable through an online reservation systemBookings are based on availability.

All library operations will remain in line with University regulations and safety measures, including mask-wearing inside the building at all times. 

Check the Library locations and hours page for information about current opening hours.

External scholars, researchers and visitors will be assisted online only and offered access to materials digitally as allowable by fair use/copyright guidelines and controlled digital lending practices. This does not include access to online databases.

General Guidelines

Those entering LLT must adhere to the following: 

  • Group study rooms are available from 8:30 am until 9:30 pm.
  • Food and drinks should not be consumed inside the building.
  • The Library will not provide headphones; users must bring their own.
  • Movement of furniture or equipment is not permitted.
  • Observing the designated quiet and silent floors is expected and required
  • The Library reserves the right to refuse access to anyone who cannot comply with the above.

Service Desk and Research Help

The Service desk at the plaza level will be staffed and available to provide in-person support to those in the library. Virtual library services and support will continue to be offered to those that cannot access the campus, including external users.

Document delivery requests can be made for articles and individual book chapters not currently held by the AUC Library.

Note that delivery times may vary and are subject to a variety of factors during this period.

The Rare Books and Special Collections Library will make every effort possible to assist faculty and students requiring access to the University’s research materials. Any member of the community requiring such assistance must first arrange for an interview with a librarian by contacting Walaa Temraz.

RBSCL curators are available for remote consultations via phone, email, or online (e.g. Zoom or Facebook).
