Activating the Archive is an initiative by the publication design course offered by the graphic design program. It aims to engage students with the unique collections of the Rare Books and Special Collections Library (RBSCL) at The American University in Cairo (AUC). The exhibition will feature students' newly designed publications that reinterpret existing archival material concerned with flora and fauna of Egypt, the history of public parks and gardens, streets' trees and plants, crop cultivation practices, and other related issues.

AUC's Rare Books and Special Collections Library Accepts 2022 UNESCO/Jikji Memory of the World Prize in South Korea

AUC’s Libraries and Learning Technologies (LLT) won the 2022 UNESCO/Jikji Memory of the World Prize for the decades of preservation work carried out by the Rare Books and Special Collections Library (RBSCL). Representatives from the library accepted the prize in South Korea on September 2.

PhilPapers will replace Philosopher's Index in the new academic year. PhilPapers is a comprehensive index and bibliography of philosophy maintained by the community of philosophers. This resource includes research content in philosophy from journals, books, open access archives, and personal pages maintained by academics. The index currently contains 2,676,884 entries categorized in 5,826 categories.
