The AUC Library reopened on the first day of classes, following summer renovations to the plaza and garden levels that created more flexible and collaborative spaces designed around how students study, work together and engage with technology today.

AUC Libraries is using WorldShare Management Services (WMS) as its new library system, as of January 14, 2026. Enjoy a familiar interface, enhanced search, and improved access to our collections. To get started, watch our short tutorials on basic searching and managing your user profile, and share feedback at [email protected].
The AUC Libraries Article/Chapter Delivery service will upgrade to a new platform on July 1, 2026. Service will continue uninterrupted during the migration. Users are advised to review and save any information from their ILLiad account before July 1, 2026, as historical request information may no longer be available after the transition.
The RBSCL offers Monday extended hours until 7:45 pm by appointment for AUC students and faculty who need access to its collections beyond regular Library hours. To request an appointment, email [email protected] with details of the materials you need, or contact a curator, by 2:00 pm on Sunday at the latest.

AUC students, faculty, and staff may reserve the group study rooms at the Main Library.
AUC’s Rare Books and Special Collections Library promotes learning and research about the history, society, and arts of Egypt and the Middle East through collections of primary-source documentation and other scholarly resources.
