Important Note: Fees apply to copies and scans made on a standard photocopy machine. For high-resolution reproductions, refer to “scanning” below. 

Photographs, drawings, magazines, slides, etc...

• .jpg/300 dpi - EGP 15 per image

Maps, architectural, drawings; etc...

• Up to A1 or larger
• Roll scanner

• .jpg/300 dpi - EGP 200 per image

Large books

• Between A3 and A2
• Overhead scanner
• .jpg/150 dpi - EGP 25 per image
• .jpg/300 dpi - EGP 50 per image

Audiovisual material (e.g. VHS)

• Output format depends on media
• EGP 100 per item

Important Note: All scans are made in image format. When a PDF is requested as the final output format, a JPEG image will be converted to PDF. The requester will be charged JPEG reproductions at 150 or 300 dpi, depending on the request.

Overdue Items

• Overdue items – EGP 5 per business day (maximum EGP 300 per item)
• Recalled items – EGP 10 EGP per business day (maximum EGP 600 per item)
• Overdue audiovisual materials – 15 EGP per business day (maximum EGP 40 per item)

Replacements

• Arabic books – $25 + EGP 50 processing fee
• English and other non-Arabic books – $100 + EGP 50 processing fee

Laptops and Laptop Chargers

• Late returns –  EGP 500 per day or part of a day (maximum EGP 5,000)
   

EGP 400 per article

Alumni

• Full year – EGP 80

Overseas Researchers

• $150 for a three-month membership (to be paid in its equivalent in EGP)

Researchers in Egypt

• October - July –  EGP 300
• May - July – EGP 150
